www.helpyouchoose.org - Norfolk's 14-19 Area Prospectus

It's been a  full year since help you choose launched. Lots has happened to the website since then, so it's a good time to look back at how far we've come...

Successes

Did you Know:

• Just after launch, 130 young people rated this website as (on average) 8 out of 10!
• help you choose had 705,125 hits in just one year - even though it's just aimed at people in Norfolk.
• We've got course information from all 119 schools, colleges and training providers - including independent schools Higher Education Institutions like the UEA - that's 3,445 courses listed on this website!

Online Applications

We've spent a lot of this year working on an online application system, so you can apply for courses you find on help you choose. After piloting it in January, it's now been launched - every 16 to 19 in Norfolk can use this website to apply online for the course they want.

Other New Features

• You told us the website was difficult to find your way around sometimes. So we launched a brand new design in July this year. We've made the whole website brighter, simpler and easier to use.
• You told us you couldn't find information and advice on help you choose. So we created the Library, which has all the information you need on learning and jobs.
• You asked us for details of open days and events near you. So we've made Events Calendar - it launches soon, watch out for it on the homepage.

The Future

We've got great plans for the future of help you choose. First on the list is Next Steps, which will help you see how different courses can fit together to lead you to your ideal career.

We're also working on online Jobmatching - soon you'll be able to sign up for free texts or emails whenever there's a new job vacancy on the website. That's just what we're working on now - there's much more to come....
