The Diploma in Engineering opens up the ideas behind engineering, and how they impact on the modern world. You'll be introduced to key engineering principles such as design, materials, electronic systems, maintenance and manufacturing. Using practical experience, you will study what makes innovations succeed, how new materials contribute to design and how to develop and launch new ideas.
Your programme will involve looking at a whole range of activities – from manufacturing and production to research, design and product development. You will also learn how engineers are helping essential services like healthcare, transport and comfortable working environments.

Important – If you plan on going on to Higher Education after your Advanced Diploma, talk to a teacher or adviser about your Additional/Specialist learning choices. What you choose may restrict which Degree courses you can take.
