Accessibility

Did you know that you can change the text size, text style and colour scheme of any well-designed website? You can even get computer programs that will 'speak' a webpage so you don't have to read it!

Options like these are especially useful for people with disabilities. Help You Choose is designed to be accessible, which means it should work well with most of these options.

Find out how to make Help You Choose and other websites easier to use by going to BBC - My Web My Way, which has instructions for people who use Windows computers, Macs or Linux computers.

Access keys

Access keys let you navigate around a website without using a mouse. All of Help You Choose uses the same access keys as the Directgov website and Norfolk County Council's website.

These are the Help You Choose access keys:

Key Where it goes
S Skip navigation and go straight to the main text of the page
1 Go to homepage
2 Go to News pages
6 Go to Help
8 Go to website terms and conditions
9 Go to feedback form
0 See details of access keys

Access keys work slightly differently depending on which web browser you use. If you're not sure how to use access keys, try holding Alt on your keyboard while pressing the access key, then press Return.
